Four Fathers of Confederation
Amherst is a town rich in history that was originally
established in 1764. Our race is named after four
Fathers of Confederation: Edward B. Chandler, Robert B.
Dickey, Jonathan McCully, and Sir Charles Tupper, as seen in
the statue carved by Bruce Hebert (www.brucehebert.com).
